Ruben Amorim will hope to record his first away victory as Manchester United head coach when they visit Arsenal on Wednesday.

The Portuguese saw his side held to a 1-1 draw by Ipswich Town at Portman Road in his first match in charge, but has since overseen wins against Bodo/Glimt and Everton at Old Trafford.

The visit to The Emirates on Wednesday will undoubtedly be his toughest test yet, with the Gunners having cruised to a 5-2 win over London rivals West Ham United in their last outing.

Ahead of the game on Wednesday, one of United’s most important players is attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

According to CaughtOffside, Spanish giants Barcelona are expected to challenge fierce rivals Real Madrid for the signing of United full-back Diogo Dalot.

The Portugal international has established himself as a regular for United over the past few seasons, remaining a regular under a number of managers.

Dalot has attracted interest from both Real Madrid and Barcelona

In total he has played 178 times for the club since his 2018 move from Porto, either side of a loan spell with Italian side AC Milan.

The report suggests that Real have enquired about Dalot’s availability as they continue their search for a new right-back.

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital, but the report claims that the Champions League holders are now considering a move for Dalot instead.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are expected to battle it out with their fierce rivals in the race to sign the Portuguese defender.

Dalot’s versatility has been useful for United over the past couple of seasons, with the 25-year-old able to operate as either a left-back or right-back.

He is contracted to United until the end of the 2027/28 campaign, but the report suggests that the player himself is prepared to respect his current employers but would be open to the idea of a move to Spain if an offer was accepted.
