Barcelona will do all they can to secure Harry Kane next summer in £200million world-record deal

Barcelona are desperate to secure Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane next summer and could be prepared to place a £200million bid, according to the Daily Star Sunday.

If this reported transfer were to go through, the England captain would become the most expensive player of all time, eclipsing Neymar’s £198million move from Barcelona to PSG in 2017.

The Catalan club are thought to be on the hunt for a new striker with current hitman Luis Suarez turning 32 in January and suffering from knee problems.

However, Spurs will be desperate to keep their star man as they prepare to move into the new White Hart Lane stadium.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy aims to secure the long-term future of Harry Kane.

However, that pending move has of course put the North London club under certain financial pressures and a world-record bid for their number 10 could prove difficult to turn down.

If the Catalan giants fail to bring the World Cup Golden Boot winner to the Camp Nou then it is thought Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Greizmann and Everton’s Richarlison are also on their radar.

Kane, 25, has scored an incredible 153 goals in 233 matches for Tottenham Hotspur since making his debut in 2011.
