West Ham have finally been given encouragement in their long term interest in Michy Batshuayi.
According to a report in the Standard the Chelsea striker is open to the idea of moving out on loan.
Slaven Bilic has been interested in the striker from his time at Marseille and remains keen despite a disappointing season for the player at Stamford Bridge.
Batshuayi finished the season with four goals in three matches but if Diego Costa is sold Chelsea will move for another big money striker.
Bilic has been scouting for strikers to change West Ham’s style of play but the 23-year-old Belgian internationalist has always been a signing priority for the system that the West Ham boss wants to see his team playing.
A season long loan deal should suit all parties involved with Bilic in the final season of his West Ham contract knowing that his future is entirely dependent on results in the first half of the season.
