There is nothing quite like an inspired bit of skill or a big finish to brighten up your week, and here at Shoot! we are always on the look out for the best to bring you.

After matchday 27 in the EFL Championship this weekend, there was one goal that stood out from the crowd – Ben Osborn’s winner for Nottingham Forest.

The 22-year-old’s strike was no ordinary goal, but one of spectacular skill, technique and sheer confidence.

Osborn, who is a former England Under-20 international, scored the only goal of the game in the 67th minute against strugglers Bristol City at the City ground, giving caretaker boss Gary Brazil a winning start.

Despite hundreds of Forest fans protesting outside the stadium prior to kick-off against owner Fawaz Al Hasawi, the central midfielder’s wicked winner soon sent the home crowd into raptures.

Osborn flicked up Matty Cash’s lay-off from more than 20 yards out before emphatically volleying the ball past goalkeeper Fabian Giefer, who was making his debut for The Robins.

Welcome to the Championship Fabian! You won’t face strikes like this every game, promise.
