Bristol City are reportedly in the running to re-sign winger Albert Adomah.

It is understood that the Ghana winger is expected to leave Championship rivals Middlesbrough before the close of the transfer window due to a break down in relationship with manager Aitor Karanka.

The 27-year-old, who left Ashton Gate for Boro two years ago, scored six goals in 51 appearances in all competitions for the beaten Championship play-off finalists last season.

But despite signing a new long-term deal at the end of last year, it seems Adomah is destined for the exit at the Riverside after being dropped against his former club at the weekend.

Adomah, who has 16 international caps, scored 17 goals in 136 appearances for the Robins between 2010 and 2013 after arriving from Barnet.
