Burnley are set to seal the £3.6m double signings of Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Nick Pope, according to the Daily Mirror.
The newly promoted Premier League side, who face Swansea City at Turf Moor on the opening day of the new 2016/17 English top-flight campaign on August 13, are expected to complete deals for the Charlton Athletic duo later this week.
Midfielder Gudmundsson; 25, who has 52 international caps for Iceland and helped his country reach the quarter-finals of this summer’s European Championships in France, scored six goals and provided 12 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for the relegated Championship outfit last season.
Meanwhile goalkeeper Pope; 24, kept six clean sheets in 28 appearances in all competitions for the Addicks last term.
The report suggests that Sean Dyche’s side will stump up £2.5m for Icelandic winger Gudmundsson, meanwhile Pope will join the Clarets for around £1.1m.
