Celtic are reportedly looking to land Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher after missing out on his signature in the summer.
The Hoops were determined to sign the 28-year-old on Deadline Day, but the Black Cats rejected a loan bid in the final hour.
However, the Scottish Premiership champions are now attempting to secure the ex-Wolves and Burnley star on a pre-contract agreement.
The Wearside outfit’s number 26 is out of contract in the summer and has publicly admitted that he’d like to play at Parkhead after missing out on a move to the Bhoys from Hibernian in 2009.
Fletcher, who has eight goals in 25 Scotland caps, has scored eight times in all competitions this term.
