Charlton set to re-appoint ex-manager

Charlton Athletic are set to re-appoint Jose Riga as manager.
Karel Fraeye has been in interim charge since the sacking of Guy Luzon but has won just two of his 14 matches in charge.
And after Saturday’s embarrassing 2-1 defeat at League One Colchester in the FA Cup, the South London club look ready to turn to Riga once again.
The 58-year-old replaced Chris Powell in March 2014 and, with Fraeye as his assistant, helped keep the Addicks in the Championship by winning seven of his 16 games in charge.
However, under-fire owner Roland Duchâtelet decided against extending the Belgian’s stay at the club, instead appointing Bob Peeters who was sacked in January 2015.
After leaving the Valley, Riga, who recently lost his job at Ligue 2 Metz, managed Blackpool for 15 games before he was shown the exit door.
Charlton are currently 23rd in the table and a point from safety after going eight league matches without a win.
