Chelsea have reportedly agreed a fee of around £32m to sign France international N’Golo Kante, according to Sky Sports.

The Premier League side, who could only finish tenth in the English top-flight standings last term during a miserable defence of their 2014/15 title, have been continually linked with a move for the Leicester City midfielder this summer.

The 25-year-old, who has eight international caps for his country and starred for France as the tournament hosts reached the final of EURO 2016 last Sunday, scored one goal and provided four assists in 40 appearances in all competitions for the title-winning Foxes last season.

Kante, who only arrived at the King Power Stadium last summer following his bargain £5.6m switch from French outfit Caen, is set to turn down an improved four-year deal at Leicester and instead opt for a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of the forthcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The report suggests that the Frenchman will have a medical over the weekend, before meeting up with the Blues on their pre-season training camp in Austria, where he will discuss personal terms.
