Arsenal host French champions Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday evening.

Mikel Arteta’s side had been challenging for the Premier League title but a recent dip in form allowed Liverpool to secure the trophy with victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

That leaves the Champions League as the Gunners’ only opportunity for silverware this season, although it is a competition that the North London outfit have never won.

PSG will provide a huge test for Arteta’s side, who have impressed in Europe this season and knocked holders Real Madrid out in the last round.

Off the pitch, it appears that Arsenal are one of a number of Premier League sides interested in an Aston Villa star.

According to TBR Football, both Arsenal and London rivals Chelsea are monitoring Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey, 23.

Ramsey has attracted interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs

Villa are enjoying a fine season under Unai Emery and reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where they were knocked out by PSG.

A number of his players have impressed this term, including Morgan Rogers who has been linked with a move away from Villa Park.

The report claims, however, that Ramsey is more likely to leave than his teammate, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all having showed interest in the Englishman.

Ramsey is a product of the Villa academy and has now played 164 times for his boyhood club at senior level, scoring 17 goals and providing 19 assists.

Despite their interest in the winger, the report claims that Chelsea feel a deal for Ramsey would be hard to agree this summer.

The left-sided player is currently under contract until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, and Villa have previously been said to value the player in excess of £50 million.
