Chelsea travel north to face old rivals Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Blues suffered their first defeat of the season on Wednesday as they were beaten 3-1 by German champions Bayern Munich in Bavaria, with England captain Harry Kane scoring twice.

Domestically, Enzo Maresca’s side have won twice and drawn twice in their first four games of the league season, but it has been a different story for United.

Ruben Amorim’s side have picked up just four points from their opening four matches and currently sit 14th in the top flight table, having endured their worst start to a season in more than three decades.

Ahead of Saturday’s intriguing match, it has emerged that the two clubs are both interested in a La Liga superstar.

According to The Daily Briefing, both Chelsea and Man United are interested in Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga.

The report claims that Newcastle United are also monitoring the Frenchman, who hasn’t featured for Real this term.

The midfielder was suffering from an ankle injury that kept him out of all four La Liga matches so far this term, but he was an unused substitute against Marseille in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Camavinga joined Real Madrid from French side Rennes in 2021 and quickly established himself as one of the best central midfielders in Europe.

He has struggled to establish himself as a guaranteed starter in midfield for Madrid, though, and has often played as a makeshift left-back in the Spanish capital.

It is claimed that the 22-year-old would be valued somewhere in the region of £70 million.

Camavinga is currently contracted to Real Madrid until the end of the 2028/29 season, but Chelsea are said to be showing particular interest in the France international.
