Chelsea are reportedly set to reignite their interest in Brazil international defender Alex Sandro during the January transfer window, according to transfermarketweb.

The defending Premier League champions, who thrashed Stoke City 4-0 at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday, were continuously linked with a mega-money move for the Juventus full-back during the previous summer window.

The 26-year-old, who has seven international caps for his country, has scored one goal and provided two assists in six appearances in all competitions for the defending Serie A champions.

Alex Sandro, who joined Juve from FC Porto back in August 2015 for a reported €26m, has netted six goals in 81 games overall for the Italian giants.

The report suggests Blues boss Antonio Conte will renew his interest in the Brazilian left-back in the New Year, though they could face stiff competition from Premier League rivals Manchester City.
