Chelsea and Manchester City are reportedly monitoring England international forward Harry Kane’s current contract situation, according to the Evening Standard.

The Premier League duo, who currently sit second and third in the English top-flight standings behind leaders Liverpool after their opening 11 league games respectively, are understood to be admirers of Tottenham’s star striker.

The 23-year-old, who has 17 international caps for the Three Lions, but will not feature for England against Spain on Tuesday night as he focuses on regaining match fitness, has scored three goals and provided one assist in seven appearances in all competitions for Spurs so far this season.

Kane, who is seeking an increase on his current £50,00-a-week wages at White Hart Lane, has been Tottenham’s top goalscorer for the past two campaigns – netting 31 and 28 times in all competitions respectively.

However the report also suggests that the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have scouted the Spurs star, with AC Milan also expected to be interested in Kane’s services.
