Chelsea have announced the signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.

The Blues confirmed the deal on their Twitter page, announcing that the forward had signed a long-term deal with the club.

Sterling becomes the first signing of the Todd Boehly era at Stamford Bridge.

The England international departs Manchester having won four Premier League titles and five League Cups among 11 trophies.

He also scored 131 goals in 337 games for the Citizens, and signs for the Blues on a five-year deal.

The fee for the deal is to remain undisclosed, although it is believed to be in the region of £47.5 million, a little less than City paid for the player back in 2015.

Chelsea are now believed to be closing in on the signing of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
