Chelsea are reportedly considering a surprise player exchange with Borussia Dortmund involving midfielders Ramires and Ilkay Gundogan, according to Fichajes.

The defending Premier League champions, who recorded a last-gasp 3-3 home draw against Everton on Saturday, are willing to offload the Brazil star this month in return for the German playmaker.

Gundogan; 25, who has 16 international caps for the reigning World Cup winners, has scored twice and provided five assists in 28 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit this season.

Meanwhile Ramires; 28, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Benfica back in August 2010 for a reported €22m, has found the back of the net three times in 21 games for the Blues this campaign.

Gundogan has also been recently linked with a reunion with former boss Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool this month.
