Roma have reportedly submitted an optimistic loan offer for Chelsea centre-half Kurt Zouma.
The Italian giants, who have already signed winger Mohamed Salah on loan from the Premier League champions, now want to reinforce their defensive ranks, with Zouma a preferred season-long loan target.
The 20-year-old, who arrived at Chelsea from Saint Etienne only last year, scored twice in 26 appearances in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s side last season.
However, it is highly unlikely the Blues will agree to send out the promising young centre-back out on loan considering the Premier League club’s lack of defensive cover.
