As per David Ornstein of The Athletic, Chelsea have enquired about the availability of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho.
The report claims that the West London outfit have enquired about both Garnacho and Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens, as they search for a new winger to bolster Enzo Maresca’s squad.
Garnacho has attracted interest from Chelsea
Garnacho, 20, joined Manchester United’s youth academy from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and has since forced his way into the first team setup at Old Trafford.
He has now made more than 100 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions, scoring 23 goals and registering 14 assists.
Chelsea are on the hunt for a new winger to bolster Maresca’s options after a recent poor run of form, during which the Blues have lost twice and drawn three games in the Premier League.
Maresca is currently without left-winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, who is suspended after returning an adverse finding during a routine drug test late last year.
Garnacho appeared to have fallen slightly out of favour when Amorin took charge of United before Christmas, but he has recently re-established himself in the first team.
While Amorim has praised the winger and indicated that he is not for sale, but CaughtOffside claims that United have recently rejected a £40 million offer from Italian side Napoli for the Argentine.
