Chelsea are reportedly ready to stump up £30m to sign Colombia international Carlos Bacca in the January transfer window.
The defending Premier League champions, who defeated Scunthorpe United 2-0 in the FA Cup, are thought to be willing to pay the premium price for the AC Milan striker this month in an attempt to break into the English top-flight’s top four come May.
The 29-year-old, who has 18 international caps for his country, has scored nine goals in 21 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A giants this season.
Bacca, who only arrived at the San Siro from Sevilla back in July for a reported €30m, is interesting Blues boss Guus Hiddink due to the Colombian hitman being eligible to play in Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League campaign after Milan missed out on the European places last term.
