Chelsea are reportedly plotting a late summer swoop for Spain international striker Fernando Llorente, according to the Telegraph.

The defending Premier League champions, who defeated London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Wembley Stadium last weekend, have been continuously linked with a move for the Swansea City hitman before the close of the current transfer window next Thursday (August 31).

The 32-year-old, who has 24 international caps for his country, has missed his side’s start to the 2017-18 campaign after breaking his arm whilst on holiday earlier this summer.

Llorente, who arrived at the Liberty Stadium last August following his move from La Liga outfit Sevilla, scored 15 goals and provided one assist in 35 appearances overall for The Swans during his debut season in Wales.

However; with Blues boss Antonio Conte still keen on strengthening his frontline force this summer, despite landing Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata for a club-record £60m, the Italian will try to push through a hopeful £15m deal to lure the Spaniard to Stamford Bridge as well.

Chelsea have loaned fellow forward Tammy Abraham, 19, to Paul Clement’s side for the campaign.
