Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Spain international striker Fernando Llorente, according to the Independent.

The Premier League side, who completed the club-record £60m signing of Real Madrid hitman Alvaro Morata on Friday, have been linked with bringing in the Swansea City forward as a back-up option ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

The 32-year-old, who has 24 international caps for his country, scored 15 goals and provided one assist in 33 top-flight appearances for The Swans last season.

Llorente, who arrived at the Liberty Stadium back in August 2016 following his move from La Liga outfit Sevilla, is wanted by Blues boss Antonio Conte this summer, with fellow frontman Michy Batshuayi expected to leave Stamford Bridge on loan.

However, the report suggests Swansea want £30m for the Spaniard’s services.

Llorente, who has also played for the likes of Athletic Bilbao and Serie A giants Juventus, was part of the Spanish squads that won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2012 European Championships.
