Premier League leaders Chelsea face a tricky trip to Everton this afternoon (2.05pm kick-off) looking to go seven points clear at the summit.
Antonio Conte’s men beat Southampton 4-2 at Stamford Bridge in midweek to continue their march towards the title, although Christian Eriksen’s late goal for Tottenham away at Crystal Palace on Wednesday means that the gap remains at just four points with five games to go.
And this afternoon could be a defining weekend in the campaign as the Blues travel to Goodison Park to face an Everton side who have lost just once at home this term, and beaten the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City on their own turf this season.
Nonetheless, Conte’s Chelsea have the best away record of any team in the Premier League this term, and Blues fans should be confident ahead of this afternoon’s clash on Merseyside.
However, the announcement of the team news hasn’t been met with overwhelming optimism from Chelsea supporters, as midfield playmaker Cesc Fabregas, who has bagged eight assists this term, doesn’t make the starting eleven…
