Chelsea will embark on a pre-season tour of Australia and Asia at the end of the month, where they will face several teams including fierce London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Blues will begin their pre-season campaign with a game against Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia, before facing Spurs – also in Sydney.
Xabi Alonso’s side then travel to Hong Kong and Indonesia for games against Juventus and AC Milan respectively, before a final match against Johor Darul Ta’zim in Malaysia.
Alonso only took charge of the west London side officially at the start of the month, and he will want to see his side impress in their warm-up games ahead of the start of the season in August.
In the meantime, though, the London side are said to be in talks with youngster Jesse Derry in an attempt to agree a new deal with the player, according to Football Insider.

Derry, 19, left Crystal Palace’s academy to join Chelsea last summer and has since played primarily for the Blues’ under-21s, scoring seven times in 21 appearances.
He was handed his senior debut during an FA Cup fourth round win over Hull City in February, before making his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest in May.
Derry was lively during the opening half of that match, but was forced off with a head injury after winning Chelsea a penalty on the stroke of half-time; Cole Palmer then missed the spot-kick and the Blues lost 3-1.
The report suggests that the young winger has emerged on the radar of German champions Bayern Munich, while Italian outfit Juventus are also said to have made an approach for the player in recent days.
Chelsea are therefore hoping to work quickly to tie the teenager down to a long-term contract, with his current deal set to expire in three years.
