Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign Switzerland international star Granit Xhaka during the January transfer window, according to Bild.
The defending Premier League champions, who recorded a last-gasp 3-3 draw at home to Everton on Saturday, are interested in the Borussia Dortmund defensive midfielder’s services this month.
The 23-year-old, who has 39 international caps for his country, has scored three goals in 23 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit this season.
Xhaka, who is also attracting interested from Arsenal, Liverpool and FC Bayern Munich this month, is thought to be valued at around £37m by the German club.
