Chelsea have reportedly joined Manchester United in the battle to land Wales international forward Gareth Bale, according to the Express.
The Premier League champions, who lost to Arsenal on penalties in the 2017 FA Community Shield at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, have been freshly linked with a mega-money move for the Real Madrid winger ahead of the new 2017-18 top-flight campaign.
The 28-year-old, who has 66 international caps for The Dragons, scored nine goals and provided five assists in 27 appearances in all competitions for the UEFA Champions League and La Liga winners last season.
Bale, who arrived at the Bernabeu back in September 2013 following his then world-record £85.1m switch from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, has netted 67 times in 150 games overall for Madrid.
However, with manager Zinedine Zidane understood to be willing to offload the Welshman this summer in a bid to free up space for AS Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe, Blues boss Antonio Conte is keen on luring Bale to Stamford Bridge to strengthen his strike force.
The report suggests the former Spurs star could cost around £90m.
