Chelsea look set to be busy once again during this summer’s transfer window.

The west London club have spent heavily since being taken over by their American owners back in 2022, paying more than £100 million each to sign Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.

Last summer, Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Jorrel Hato were among those to arrive at Stamford Bridge, although their new arrivals have had varying degrees of success in their first season in London.

While Pedro has impressed hugely, the likes of Delap and fellow 2025 arrival Alejandro Garnacho have both struggled and have already been linked with moves away from SW6.

It appears now, however, that the London side are interested in a talented young winger from the Swedish top flight.

As per Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, the Blues have entered into the race to sign AIK winger Zadok Yohanna.

The journalist claims that the London outfit have joined those in the running to land the 20-year-old, who has attracted interest from several Premier League sides.

Newcastle United are said to have currently tabled the biggest offer for the youngster, however Brighton and Hove Albion have already reached a full verbal agreement with the player.

Having joined AIK from Nigerian side Ikon Allah FA last summer, Yohanna has enjoyed a fine debut season in Sweden, scoring five goals and registering four assists in 18 matches across all competitions.

The Nigerian primarily operates on the right flank, but is capable of playing centrally which could prove useful for Premier League clubs.

The winger’s current contract in Sweden is set to expire in December 2029, but it appears increasingly likely that he will depart during this summer’s transfer window with several clubs in the Premier League seemingly interested.
