Chelsea join the hunt for Ghanaian star

Chelsea have reportedly joined Serie A champions Juventus in the chase for Cagliari star Godfred Donsah.

It is understood that the Italian club’s president Tommaso Giulini has confirmed that negotiations had begun with the Premier League champions over a transfer for the Ghanaian midfielder this summer.

The 19-year-old, who is still awaiting his first senior international cap, scored two goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit last season.

However; it is thought that Cagliari have already rejected a £4.2m bid from last term’s UEFA Champions League runners-up Juventus, so Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea may have to act fast before the close of the transfer window.
