Chelsea are reportedly interested in making a third bid for Spain international forward Alvaro Morata this summer, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who host West Ham United in their 2016/17 English top-flight opener on August 15, have been linked with luring the Real Madrid striker to Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old, who has 13 international caps for his country and featured for Spain at this summer’s European Championships in France, scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions for Serie A champions Juventus last season.

Morata, who recently re-joined Madrid from the Italian giants after his former club exercised a buyback clause in his contract, is valued at around £67m.

The report suggests that Blues striker Diego Costa is still a top transfer target for fellow former club Atletico Madrid in La Liga and believe the 27-year-old wants to return to the Vicente Calderón Stadium before the transfer window shuts.

With new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte keen on bringing Morata to London, despite already failing with two offers, Atletico are happy to bid their time in trying to bring back Costa to Spain.
