Name: Alex Teixeira
Position: Midfielder
Club: Shakhtar Donestsk
With interim boss Guus Hiddink now at the helm; the defending Premier League champions appear to still be pursuing former manager Jose Mourinho’s top transfer target, with Chelsea heavily linked to move for Brazilian attacking midfielder Alex Teixeira.
The 25-year-old, who is surprisingly uncapped at international level, has scored a sensational 26 goals in 26 appearances in all competitions for Shakhtar Donestsk so far this season.
Teixeria, who began his career in Rio de Janeiro with Vasco da Gama, are thought to already be in advanced talks with the Ukrainian outfit over a £30m January deal for the goalscoring midfielder.
With rumours of a five-year deal already been agreed; Teixeira’s arrival at Stamford Bridge later this month will add extra fire-power to the Blues attacking ranks as Diego Costa is the club’s top goalscorer in the Premier League with only six goals, meanwhile midfielders Willian and Oscar have chipped in with three strikes each.
