Chelsea have reportedly opened talks with AC Milan over a summer deal for highly-rated goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to Fichajes.
The defending Premier League champions, who face Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain in their UEFA Champions League last-16 first-leg tie tonight inside the Parc des Princes, are firm admirers of the young shot stopper.
The 16-year-old; who is a Italy Under-17 international, has been fast tracked into the first-team squad this term at the San Siro, keeping six clean sheets in 17 league games for the Serie A giants so far.
Donnarumma; who is also attracting interest from English top-flight rivals Manchester United, according to Sport Mediaset, is quoted to be worth a whopping £131m according to the player’s agent Mino Raiola.
He told Italian publication Mediaset, “He’s worth €170m (£131m). He has a great future. He’s an extraordinary kid and everyone loves him.”
Standing tall at 6ft 5in; Donnarumma has already been tipped as Italy’s next Gianluigi Buffon following his mesmerising breakthrough campaign at Milan.
