Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool are set to battle Italian champions Juventus to land a January deal for Porto star, Ruben Neves according to reports from The Mirror.

The report claims that, as things stand, Antonio Conte is leading the chase for the Portugal international, who has two caps to his name, and that they have set a deadline of the first week of November for a response from Neves.

The 19-year-old, who holds the record for the youngest ever captain in the Champions League, has already racked up a remarkable 79 appearances for the Portuguese side, scoring on three occasions.

The West London side are prepared to stump up an initial fee of £24m to secure the deal, with further add-ons to follow based on his performance.

La Liga side, Valencia are also rumoured to be interested, whilst Italian giants Juventus are said to have been keeping tabs on him for over two years.
