Chelsea will battle Bayern Munich in an attempt to sign USA international forward Christian Pulisic, according to the Daily Mail.

The defending Premier League champions, who drew 1-1 at home to FC Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie, have been heavily linked with a mega-money move for the highly rated Borussia Dortmund winger this summer.

The 19-year-old, who has 20 international caps for his country, has scored four goals and provided three assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season.

Pulisic, who is valued at around £88m by the German club, has netted 11 goals in 84 games overall for Dortmund after making his first-team debut back in January 2016 against FC Ingolstadt.

The report suggests The Blues are interested in signing the American ace, who is regarded as one of Europe’s hottest prospects, and could use striker Michy Batshuayi, who is currently on loan at Dortmund, as a bargaining chip ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

The right winger is also thought to be interesting Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United.
