Chelsea are reportedly set to miss out on the signing of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, according to the London Evening Standard.

Incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte is keen to bring the France international to Stamford Bridge when he takes charge after the European Championships, as he looks to rebuild his squad following a disappointing campaign, but the player’s agent has denied that any deal is close.

Mino Raiola told Italy’s GQ Magazine: “Pogba’s not going to Chelsea. At least not yet, but I don’t want to rule anything out.”

Conte worked with Pogba at Juve before taking the Italy job, but it appears that the Frenchman won’t be making the move to England this summer, although a bidding war could be created with new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola also said to be interested in the 23-year-old.

Pogba has made almost 200 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A champions, scoring 34 goals.
