Chelsea should snap up these 2 Tottenham stars this summer

Premier League champions Chelsea were unable to add the FA Cup title this weekend after going down 2-1 to Arsenal in the final at Wembley.

Antonio Conte’s side were looking to record the club’s second domestic double in the space of seven years with victory in the showpiece, yet goals from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey either side of a Diego Costa strike secured a seventh FA Cup crown for manager Arsene Wenger.

Nonetheless, the Blues will still look back on the season fondly after regaining the Premier League title, although Saturday was perhaps a reminder that things will be even tougher next season, given their title defence and Champions League campaign.

And, as a result, manager Conte is likely already looking at transfer targets ahead of the new season, and he could look to raid some of their nearest rivals in a bid to land the talent required to compete on the domestic and European stage next term.

And one side they could look at is Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham, so here are TWO Spurs stars Chelsea must try and land this summer…

Ben Davies

Tottenham left-back Ben Davies performed admirably in Danny Rose’s absence in the latter part of the campaign, yet is unlikely to keep his place once the England star returns from injury.

Thus, alongside reported interest earlier in the campaign, could champions Chelsea make a move for the Welshman this summer?

Although the Blues have been remarkably strong for much of the campaign, they haven’t got a great deal of depth in the wing-back areas, with Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses their first and sometimes only choices in that position.

Thus, with European football to contender with, Conte may look at Davies as the perfect man to bring in this summer.

Kyle Walker

As mentioned previously, Chelsea lack some depth in the wing-back areas, and with Victor Moses banned for the start of next season, with a potentially heavier sanction possible because it was a dive, Conte may need to dip into the transfer market for another one.

And one man they could look at is Tottenham’s unhappy star Kyle Walker, who is attracting interest from both Manchester City and Manchester United.

The England ace has been one of the best right-backs in the Premier League over recent seasons, with his defensive capabilities seriously improving in the last few years, and he has even performed well in the wing-back role when utilised by Mauricio Pochettino.

However, Walker is reportedly unsettled at White Hart Lane and looks increasingly likely to leave this summer, and with Chelsea looking to add strength to their side, Conte should look to snap him up ahead of United and City.
