Chelsea have reportedly offered striker Diego Costa to Serie A duo Napoli and Inter Milan as they look to fund a move for Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, according to Corriere dello Sport, via the Sun.

The Spain international’s former side, Atletico Madrid, had been linked with a bid to re-sign their former attacker, who is believed to be unsettled at Stamford Bridge, but they have since ruled out bringing the 27-year-old back to La Liga.

Now the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has turned his attentions to Italy, where Napoli are searching for a replacement for Gonzalo Higuain, who completed a move to Juventus earlier in the transfer window, while Inter could also be searching for a forward if Mauro Icardi leaves the San Siro based outfit.

Everton are understood to be demanding £75 million if they are to sell Lukaku, who they bought for £28 million from Chelsea two years ago, which means the west London outfit may need to free up some funds, and space in their squad.
