On-loan Chelsea striker Bertrand Traore has slammed his parent club for the way in which his role within the squad has been managed, and for sending him out on a loan this summer.

The West London club are famous for having a high number of players out on loan at all times, with very few making it into the first team fold.

The club have dominated the youth leagues and FA Youth Cup in recent years, but have not seen those talents transferred to the first team.

Traore, who broke into the side under Gus Hiddink towards the end of last season – and impressed in doing so, featured heavily in the pre-season under Conte, but was then sent out on loan to Dutch giants, Ajax.

The 21-year-old told the Evening Standard;

“I felt, and feel, that I am ready for Chelsea. I did not see the loan overall [picture]. Why did I play so much in pre-season?

“Why was I allowed to participate so often under Guus Hiddink [last season]? Why do young players get no real chance at Chelsea?

“It’s good for the composition of the squad if it is also home to a couple of talented youngsters.”

The Burkina Faso international scored four goals in sixteen first team outings for the Blues last season.
