Manchester United have reportedly reignited their interest in signing Spain international star Cesc Fabregas, according to The Times.

The Premier League side, who secured a late 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday, have been linked once more with the Chelsea midfielder ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window.

The 30-year-old, who has 110 international caps for his country, has scored one goal and provided four assists in 15 appearances in all competitions for The Blues so far this season.

Fabregas, who arrived at Stamford Bridge back in June 2014 following his move from La Liga giants FC Barcelona, has netted 19 goals in 148 games overall for Chelsea, lifting two Premier League titles and the League Cup.

The report suggests Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is still interested in luring the Spaniard to Old Trafford, but The Blues are set to respond by offering the central midfielder a new contract at the London outfit, with just over 18 months remaining on his current deal.
