Chelsea are reportedly eyeing Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann as John Terry’s long-term successor, according to the Mirror.
The defending Premier League champions, who secured a last-gasp 3-3 draw at home to Everton on Saturday, have identified the impressive centre-half as an ideal replacement for their club captain.
The 28-year-old, who is a former England Under-21 international, has scored three goals in 21 league games for Alan Pardew’s side this season.
Dann, who joined the Eagles from Blackburn Rovers almost two years ago, could double his current £60,000-a-week wages if he decides to join the Blues.
