Premier League leaders Chelsea are willing to let Brazil international Willian leave this summer with Manchester United set to pounce, according to The Daily Express.
The 28-year-old has become a bit-part player under Antonio Conte this season despite winning the club’s Player of the Year award for his efforts last time round, a campaign which saw him net 11 goals in 49 games for the Blues.
However, he has fallen behind Eden Hazard and Pedro in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this term, starting just 13 times in the Premier League, and coming on as a substitute on 17 other occasions.
And although the forward has still chipped in with seven goals in the Premier League, it looks like his four-year stay in West London is coming to an end, with the club reportedly willing to let the 28-year-old move on this summer.
And that is news that is sure to excite Man United boss Jose Mourinho, who attempted to bring Willian to Old Trafford when he took over the club last summer.
There were also reports earlier in the season that Mourinho was hoping to lure the Brazil international away from Stamford Bridge, and it now looks like he may be able to do that, although Chelsea will likely hold out for a decent price for the forward.
What does seem clear is that Willian’s spell at Chelsea looks to be coming to an end, yet what remains uncertain is whether or not United will be able to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
