This summer could be yet another busy one for Chelsea, with the club’s owners continuing their policy of signing young talent from around the world.
The West London outfit have already agreed deals for Sporting CP duo Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo, according to the Portuguese side, while South American youngsters Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian are also on their way to Stamford Bridge this summer.
One player that faces a very uncertain future in the capital is winger Jadon Sancho, who is currently on loan from Manchester United.
Chelsea are obliged to sign the player permanently for a fee of around £25 million, although it has been reported in recent days that the Blues could pay a penalty fee to avoid having to sign the Englishman.
Now, though, it has emerged that one of Sancho’s former clubs could be interested in signing the player.
According to TBR Football, German side Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Sancho for a third time.
The report claims that the Bundesliga outfit are interested in the player, and that Chelsea could sign Sancho permanently from United before selling him to Dortmund to make a quick profit.
Sancho, 25, joined the Red Devils in 2021, having been hugely impressive during a spell with Dortmund.
He struggled to recreate the same form in Manchester, though, and was loaned back to Germany in January 2024.
The England international improved once returning to Dortmund, but failed to force his way back into the first team at Old Trafford under then-manager Erik ten Hag, following the pair’s high-profile bust-up months earlier.
Sancho then joined Chelsea on loan last summer, and has since scored twice in 28 games for the Blues, as well as proving six assists.
With less than four months remaining of the current campaign, the Englishman’s future remains very much uncertain.
