Chelsea young defender Fikayo Tomori pushing for a permanent move away from the club in January transfer window, according to the Metro.
At 23-years-old, Tomori has a big future ahead of him, but sadly for the central defender he is not getting anywhere near regular first team minutes under Frank Lampard this season.
That was not the case last campaign as the England international was getting a good amount of game time at Stamford Bridge and put in some top performances.
However, with singings such as Ben Chiwell and more notably Thiago Silva, Tomori has been a bit-part player for Chelsea this term, making just one Premier League appearance.
That has prompted heavy rumours of a loan move for the defender, which would suit Chelsea and help the talented younger gain much needed minutes.
Premier League outfits such as Leeds United and Newcastle United are said to be interested in securing Tomori’s services for the remainder of the season, but no move has been set in stone as yet.
In more recent developments though, the Metro have reported Tomori could look to make a permanent move away from the club in January.
Given the defender’s clear potential, here at Shoot we believe that would be a terrible move for the club to make, however, it can be difficult to keep a player if they are not gaining minutes on the pitch and want to leave the club.
