French midfielder Steven N’Zonzi admits he is flattered to be linked with a move to Chelsea, according to L’Equipe (via The Sun).

The Premier League side, who climbed up to second in the top-flight standings after recording their fifth successive league victory with a 5-0 thrashing of Everton at Stamford Bridge, are speculated to be interested in bringing the Sevilla defensive midfielder back to England.

The 27-year-old, who is a former France Under-21 international, has scored two goals in 15 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit so far this season.

N’Zonzi, who is also said to be attracting interest from Premier League rivals Manchester City, FC Barcelona and Juventus, revealed he is happy to be linked with Antonio Conte’s Blues ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window.

The Frenchman played for Stoke City between 2012 and 2015, going onto net seven goals in 120 games for the Potters.

N’Zonzi, who is set to be the subject of a £26m offer in the new year from Barca, told L’Equipe, “It’s nice, it’s good [to be linked with Chelsea].

“But I always say that this type of club is interested in other players too.

“I am not the only one. I know that big clubs are interested in many players. I focus on what I do at Sevilla. Until there is something concrete, we must remain professional.”
