Chelsea are reportedly interested in luring Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah to Stamford Bridge this summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Gazzetta World).

The Premier League side, who could only finish tenth in the English top-flight standings after a catastrophic defence of their 2014/15 league title, are interested in signing the Juventus midfielder ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

The 27-year-old; who has 63 international caps for his country, made just 13 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A champions this season, providing two assists.

Asamoah; who joined the Italian giants from Udinese back in July 2012, is understood to be a target for incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte, who will takeover at Chelsea after Italy’s EURO 2016 campaign this summer.

Conte worked with Asamoah at Juve and is keen on a reunion with the Ghanian star, with the Old Lady ready to let him leave Turin.

The report suggests that Juventus would want around €20m for his signature.
