Diego Costa has suggested that Chelsea turn to Romelu Lukaku as his replacement!
The Spanish striker is probably one of the most disliked players among opposition fans in the Premier League with his rating at Everton about to fall even further.
Costa appears to be trying everything in his powers to get out of Chelsea but suggesting his likely replacement is a step that few players would consider.
In an interview with The Mirror he said: “Of course Lukaku is a very big player who played an impressive season. I hope he can sign at Chelsea because it’s a unique club.”
Chelsea have been preparing for Costa’s departure since the new year when the first stories of interest from China emerged.
Everton find themselves in a similar position despite extensive talks with Lukaku about extending his contract.
The Belgian internationalist has two years left to run on his contract with Everton apparently looking for £100m if he is sold in the current transfer window.
