Could Mourinho land these 3 players linked to Man United in January?

Jose Mourinho hasn’t been afraid to spend money since his arrival at Man United over the summer, with his deal to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford breaking the world transfer record.

As well as the marquee Frenchman, the former Chelsea boss also landed deals for Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, former Borussia Dortmund man Henrikh Mkhitaryan and arguably the signing of the summer, defender Eric Bailly.

However, that hasn’t seemed to stop the Portuguese from pursuing further targets as we get further through his first season in his dream job.

Each day another player is mooted as a potential addition to his squad in the red half of Manchester, with some big names being thrown into the rumour mill to see if they stick.

Some rumours will be just that, rumours and will fade away within days, however, three in particular have stuck out amongst the others, and could make a real difference to the Red Devils’ season should they arrive in January, so let’s take a look…

Antione Griezmann

The Frenchman lit up the European Championships over the summer like no other, and has subsequently been turning heads all across the continent.

According to reports from Sky Sports, the Atletico Madrid man, who has bagged six goals in six league outings this season, could arrive at Old Trafford in the January window.

The Spaniard is reportedly growing unhappy with his situation at Real Madrid, having been pushed aside somewhat by manager, Zinedine Zidane.

As such, the 24-year-old is being rumoured as a replacement for under-fire captain, Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford, is this one that Mourinho could act quickly on?

The Premier League champion is another that Sky Sports feel could be making his way to Old Trafford this season, having had a slow start to the season with Leicester, it could well be something he’d consider.

Mourinho has chopped and changed his midfield so far this season as he looks to find the perfect combination to complement Paul Pogba. Would he go as far as splashing out on another midfielder to get the best out of the Frenchman? Probably…
