Crystal Palace enter the race for 18-year-old Championship gem

Crystal Palace have reportedly entered the race to sign Championship starlet Ademola Lookman in January.

The Premier League side, who suffered a 3-0 defeat to defending league champions Chelsea on Sunday, are interested in signing the talented Charlton Athletic winger alongside the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Southampton and Tottenham this month.

The 18-year-old, who was playing Sunday league football with Waterloo FC back in 2014, has scored three goals in nine league appearances for the Championship strugglers this season.

Lookman, who has risen quickly through the Addick’s youth ranks, is somewhat the brightest positive to Charlton’s relegation threatening campaign so far, although his impressive displays haven’t gone unnoticed with an array of Premier League scouts closely monitoring him during this month’s transfer window.
