Crystal Palace have reportedly joined the race to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino this summer, according to The Sun on Sunday.

The Premier League side, who currently sit 16th in the English top-flight standings following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to relegation threatened Newcastle United, are thought to have joined Stoke City and Tottenham in weighing up a move for the former England Under-21 hitman.

The 22-year-old; who has yet to earn his senior international debut for the Three Lions, has scored seven goals in 33 appearances in all competitions for the Baggies so far this season, including one assist.

Berahino, who has just one year remaining on his current deal at the Hawthorns, is expected to snub any attempts West Brom make in regards to extending his contract at the Midlands club in the near future.

The report suggests that Baggies boss Tony Pulis faces a dilemma in whether to cash in on Berahino’s services this summer, or risk losing him for nothing next year.
