According to reports from BBC Sport, Crystal Palace have finally agreed a fee with Liverpool for out-of-favour striker, Christian Benteke.
The Eagles are set to pay a £27m up-front fee with £5m worth of add-ons included in the deal which means the Reds can recoup the £32.5m they paid for the Belgian last summer.
The deal marks a second successive record breaker for the South London side with the 25-year-old old’s fee smashing the £13m paid for Andros Townsend earlier in the window.
Despite appearing as a flop at Liverpool the former Aston Villa man scored four more Premier League goals than any of Alan Pardew’s top scorers, netting 9 for the Merseysiders and created 30 chances in 29 appearances.
The Belgian international, however, will want to recapture the form that saw him bag 49 goals in 101 appearances whilst in the Midlands.
As per the BBC Sport’s report, the forward is now travelling to South London to complete his medical and get the deal over the line.
