If Chelsea hadn’t have made such a disastrous start to the season, then Crystal Palace’s 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge at the end of August would probably be their highlight of the season to date.
However, this last weekend changed things as Alan Pardew’s side travelled to Anfield, with Liverpool unbeaten in six matches under new manager Jurgen Klopp.
But Palace weren’t daunted by the prospect of a trip to Merseyside, and goals from Yannick Bolasie and Scott Dann saw them take the three points back to South London.
Pardew is aiming for European football this term, and if his team continue to put in performances like this, they won’t be far off.
