Manchester United are set to reward England international defender Luke Shaw with a new long-term contract, according to the Mirror.
The Premier League side, who visit Newcastle United on Sunday (14:15) in the top-flight, are due to begin talks over an improved deal for the left-back following his upturn in form this campaign.
The 22-year-old, who has seven international caps for the Three Lions, has made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils so far this season.
Shaw, who arrived at Old Trafford back in June 2014 following his £27m move from Southampton, has played 59 games overall for United.

The full-back has seemingly won over manager Jose Mourinho after an impressive string of performances for his senior side recently – starting five of their last seven Premier League fixtures.
Whereas not so long ago, boss Mourinho publicly criticised the defender’s attitude and displays as he struggled to work his way into the ‘Special One’s’ first-team plans after battling back from a foot operation.
Shaw’s current deal at The Theatre of Dreams expires in June 2019, with the former Saints star earning £80,000-a-week.
