Derby County are reportedly eyeing a January move for Guadeloupe international striker Claudio Beauvue, according to The Guardian.

The Championship side; who sit third in the league table, just one point behind the top two Middlesbrough and Hull City, want the Lyon hitman to help the Rams win promotion to the Premier League this campaign.

The 27-year-old, who has two international caps to his name, has scored eight goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.

Beauvue, who has been transfer listed by Lyon, is reportedly valued at around £5.5m.

However Paul Clement’s side face competition from Premier League club Aston Villa and Championship rivals Bristol City for the forward’s signature this month.
